Before you start
- Two or more completed interviews for meaningful comparison
- At least one confirmed evidence item
- Research questions for the matrix view
01
Prepare reliable evidence
- 1Review transcripts and create or generate evidence items.
- 2Open the Evidence library and confirm the items that accurately represent the source conversation.
- 3Link evidence to research questions so participant answers can appear in the Research Question Matrix.
- 4Select Synthesize analysis from Evidence, or open Analysis and select Generate analysis.
02
Read the analysis from broad to specific
- Use the Research Question Matrix to compare participant answers by question.
- Review participant summaries for an interview-level view.
- Open themes to see how many evidence items support each pattern.
- Pay attention to contradictions as well as repeated themes.
- Select a matrix cell, theme, or finding to inspect the linked evidence references.
03
Keep analysis current
Transcript edits can mark analysis as stale because the source text has changed.
- 1Finish material transcript corrections before the final analysis pass.
- 2Regenerate analysis when the stale notice appears.
- 3Wait for the analysis job to complete, then review its findings and citations rather than treating generated output as final.
