Before you start
- A signed-in ScribeFlash account
- A list of terms whose spoken and preferred written forms differ
01
Create a glossary table
- 1Open Account Settings and select Glossary.
- 2Select New glossary table.
- 3Give the table a clear name and optional description based on a client, product, industry, or study.
- 4Open the table to manage its terms.
02
Add and maintain terms
- Enter the spoken term and the preferred replacement text.
- Optionally set a language and case-sensitive matching.
- Use Bulk import to paste comma- or tab-separated term and replacement pairs, one per line.
- Search, edit, or delete existing terms as terminology changes.
- Use Export when you need a reusable copy of the table.
03
Apply glossaries to research
- 1Attach glossary tables in Project settings so new interviews can inherit them.
- 2During interview upload, keep the inherited set or choose a custom set for that interview.
- 3In the Transcript Editor, review the effective glossary tables and their terms.
- 4Use Apply glossary when you need to re-apply replacements to the transcript, then review the resulting text.
Re-applying a glossary may update current transcript text from the original ASR text. Review important passages afterward, especially if analysis already exists.
