How do I upload an interview?

Upload audio or video interviews to ScribeFlash, choose transcription settings, and avoid common upload issues.

Short answer

Open a project, go to Interviews, select Upload interviews, choose MP3, WAV, M4A, MP4, or MOV files, then start the upload and monitor each file's status.

Supported files

The current upload flow accepts common audio and video formats used for research interviews.

Upload the recording

  1. 1Open the project that should contain the interview.
  2. 2Go to Interviews and select Upload interviews.
  3. 3Drag files into the upload area or browse from your device.
  4. 4Check the generated interview names and remove accidental duplicates.
  5. 5Choose language and glossary settings, then select Upload selected files.

Tips for better transcription

  • Upload the clearest source recording available.
  • Use a glossary table for product names, people names, acronyms, or uncommon terms.
  • Avoid closing the upload dialog while a file is actively uploading.
  • Review speaker names and important transcript segments after processing finishes.
